Anybody going to watch the show this week?

Typically, Tuesday is a non-TV day for me, except maybe sports or DVDs. Hoping I remember about it tomorrow, as I really want to check it out.

I set the DVR to record it. I thought it was going to be another mini-series like the original. I didn't know it was going to be a regular one hour series. I hope it's good.

I'm going to check it out. I liked the original show back in the '80s, so I'll give this a chance.

You can buy the original mini-series on DVD at Walmart for $14. I may pick that up.

Anybody watch the show last night?

I liked it but I felt the show moved a little to fast. They more or less raced through the whole first mini-series in less than 45 minutes. In the first 15 minutes of the show the Visitors showed up, won everybody over, started up the V youth movement, and got involved with the media and government. All of a sudden there were ninja Vs, sleeper cells, and the resistance was formed. Not much time to build suspense or properly introduce a lot of characters. It was like the A.D.D. version of the plot.

However, the characters we met last night were interesting and there's a few new twists that could turn out to be very cool. There was a lot of not so subtle political commentary that I enjoyed. Overall the show is good and I'm looking forward to watching it progress.

Had to be up pretty early this morning, so I was already laying down when I tried to watch it. Seemed really good before I fell asleep 20 minutes into it. I'll have to catch the rest of it online.
